Project Summary
The overall goal of this project is to develop science-based guidelines for the rehabilitation of aggregate extraction sites on prime agricultural land. It will provide aggregate operators with resources and protocols for developing effective rehabilitation plans. It will give regulatory and commenting agencies standardized tools for streamlining the licensing approval process.
The expected benefits and impacts of the project include:
- Timelier, more consistent reviews and enhanced guidance on rehabilitation plans from regulators and reviewing and commenting agencies
